NC Child
Programmatic funds to continue Trust support of General Operating expenses. NC Child has been a stalwart of data-driven public education for children’s health and welfare for 33 years. The organization is a key partner on issues related to Trust and grantee work- particularly around health insurance coverage, Medicaid policy and availability of mental health and substance abuse services for children and their families.
Halifax County
Capital funds to install a fitness based playground at the 4-H Rural Life Center in Halifax County.
Bertie County
Capital funds to construct a walking trail and renovate a park at the Blue Jay Volunteer Fire Department in Bertie County.
Southeastern Regional Medical Center
Funds to cover salary costs for hourly employees who filled critical roles in response to Hurricane Matthew.
City of Roanoke Rapids
Capital funds to renovate Chaloner Recreation Park, an historically important facility adjacent to a low-income African American neighborhood. This project reflects many years of local input and diligent planning to reimagine the park layout and amenities. Funds will cover installing a fitness trail, a picnic shelter, and a splash pad.

Capital support for relocating and renovating the main campus facility that is used for residential treatment of substance use disorders.

Capital funding for the construction of a "healthy living institute" within a larger, regional community and economic development center in Rocky Mount.

Programmatic funds to use culturally appropriate methods to better understand the health needs of American Indians in North Carolina.
