City with Dwellings: A Community First Initiative
Programmatic support to fund expanded capacity and office operations. Expanded capacity is necessary to increase the organization's impact on homelessness by directing staff time and resources to diversion strategies and supportive practices that reduce recidivism. By increasing the capacity of the case coordinator to full-time and adding part-time administrative support more homeless persons will be assisted with opportunities for stable housing.

Capital funds to renovate an indoor gymnasium to increase access to and utilization of public active living spaces for McDowell County residents.
City of Roanoke Rapids
Capital funds to expand access to alternative opportunities for physical activity in Roanoke Rapids.
Medoc Mountain State Park
Capital funds to build a playground at Medoc Mountain State Park to support increased physical activity for low income residents in Western Halifax County.

Operating funds to increase understanding of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and assist low-income uninsured and low-income residents of Edgecombe, Halifax and Nash counties with insurance enrollment.

Operating funds to expand mental health counseling services in clinical and homeless settings targeting low-income, rural individuals from Madison, Buncombe, Mitchell and Yancey counties.

Operating funds to support the expansion of primary care services serving low-income individuals in Surry and surrounding counties.
Center for Creative Leadership
Operating funds for leadership capacity building for 25 nonprofit leaders in McDowell County to include coaching and two multi-day leadership programs on innovation and boundary spanning.
