Jennifer Nixon

Healthcare Strategy Consultant

Jennifer Nixon is a healthcare strategy consultant, focused on critical issues, including social needs related to health outcomes and the provision of care to low-income and uninsured patient populations. Prior to starting her consulting work in 2019, Dr. Nixon served as executive director of the Reidsville Area Foundation, a private foundation formed in 2001 with proceeds from the merger of Annie Penn Hospital and Cone Health. She was also the first executive director of the Rockingham County Healthcare Alliance, a collaborative rural health network that aims to increase access to care and improve population health across Rockingham County. She has published several peer-reviewed articles in academic journals, including Social Politics, Social Policy & Society, Disability & Society, and Critical Discourse Studies.
