As someone connected to the Forsyth County healthcare system, Debra Hall was a natural fit when she started working at the Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust. An administrative assistant at the Trust since 2006, Debra was promoted to grants manager in early 2014. Long interested in health care, Debra earned her certified nursing assistant degree while still a high school student. Shortly after working for The Oaks at Forsyth Nursing Home, she graduated from Davidson County Community College with a degree in Business Administration. From there, Debra worked for Depaul Adult Care Communities for nine years as an accounts receivable/payable technician and secretary to the vice president. She completed her Project Management Certificate at North Carolina State University in 2014.
Unbeknownst to staff when she first applied to work at the Trust, Debra has a special, personal connection to the Trust’s founder Mrs. Kate B. Reynolds. Her great-grandfather served as the foreman of Mrs. Kate’s Tanglewood estate, and he and his wife lived at Tanglewood in a house built for them by Mrs. Kate.
When not at the office, Debra and her husband, Allen, usually keep busy by taking care of their four young children – Kaden, Kadie, Aaliyah and Carmella. The entire family loves animals, and theirs is a happy house full of dogs, cats, hamsters and fish.
