Programmatic funds to expand a peer support program addressing substance use disorders. Funds will support the hiring of three peer support specialists to work with the Department of Social Services, the Community Paramedicine Program, McDowell Access To Care and Health, and in the McDowell Mission shelters. The project will serve individuals who struggle with a combination of barriers including substance misuse, homelessness, infectious disease, and families who are at-risk for having their children placed into foster care.
