NC Labor & Economic Analysis

The North Carolina’s Official Labor Market Data Source provides the historical and latest labor market information in North Carolina. The data includes North Carolina’s quarterly employment and wage statistics by industry and the major employer list (Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages; QCEW), unemployment rates (Local Area Unemployment Statistics; LAUS), current employment hours and earnings information from payroll records by industry (Current Employment Statistics; CES), annual estimates of employment and wages by occupation (Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics; OEWS), and employment projections at the state, county, or regional levels. The majority of data are up-to-date and when applicable, the data can be found by month or annual average.

This data provides a guide for the state to plan and invest the future labor market given the recent economic trends. It also gives a better understanding of the labor market for companies.
