Funds to support COVID-19 response with funding allocated to: The Black Philanthropy Initiative’s Impact Grants Program 2020 to support black-led organizations in the four key areas identified in the Rethinking Philanthropy Report ($30,000); General operating expenses to support non-profit organizations in Forsyth County administering COVID-19 support to disproportionately impacted individuals and families ($170,000); and finally, direct program support to residents experiencing financial needs in Forsyth County ($300,000).

Programmatic funds to expand healthy food access in Beaufort County and surrounding areas with a focus on low-income populations and communities of color.

Freedom House Recovery Center, Inc.
Operating funds to expand the system of behavioral health care through providing comprehensive outpatient services in Warren County.
Rural Health Group, Inc.
Operating funds to replicate a sustainable Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) integrated care model into ten FQHC’s across the state.
Down East Partnership for Children
Programmatic funds to implement a farm-to-child care model in 15 centers that predominantly serve low-income children that will increase the amount of healthy, local food served at these sites. The purpose of this project is to organize the relationships between food vendors, distributors, and processors to make fresh produce accessible to child care providers. Funds will support the salary for the project lead, incentives to participating centers, and contracted services.

Programmatic funds to promote equitable access to recreation resources in an underserved section of McDowell County.
