Mid-East Housing Incorporated

Programmatic funds to support the partnership between a public housing agency and a community center dedicated to serving at-risk youth in western Bertie County to engage youth and seniors in healthy living activities. Agencies such as the Bertie County YMCA, Albemarle Regional Health Services, and Roanoke-Chowan Community College will help program participants gain access to recreational, educational, and health improvement opportunities. The goal is to reduce isolation and food insecurity among seniors and involve young people in healthful activities. Funds will support salaries for personnel and supplies.
