Many Forsyth County families continue to experience persistent poverty. Addressing this complex problem requires solutions that are deeply informed and led by people closest to the problem. This funding opportunity supports community-led implementation of effective two-generation approaches to increase family economic security in Forsyth County.
Increase integrated, family-centered approaches that promote educational attainment and economic or career advancement of parents of young children in Forsyth County.
Build community, network, organizational, and individual capacity so that historically marginalized populations, particularly Black, Immigrant, Indigenous, and other leaders of color can drive community and health improvement efforts.
Conduct broad-based communications, community education, and advocacy efforts that advance goals.

In order to identify the approaches best suited to Forsyth County, the Trust is seeking proposals from applicants who can implement solutions that come from community-centered design processes. Proposals should center the perspectives and leadership of people experiencing poverty and include two-generation approaches that would best build on the strengths and meet the needs of Forsyth County families with young children. Proposals should include plans for deeply engaging community and shifting policies or systems.
