Indicators of Healthy Aging: A Guide to Explore Healthy Aging Data through Community Health Improvement

The purpose of this resource is to better understand and advance healthy aging through community health improvement activities as well as provide a roadmap for health departments, health practitioners, nonprofits, health systems, and community organizations. This guide highlights comprehensive indicators and measures for healthy aging that can inform the process for improving community health through access to publicly available secondary data sources.

By learning about social justice and equity in older adults, community partners can find out what older adults do and what they don’t do, identify local priorities, and come up with strategies to make older adults’ lives better. This resource also be used to inform local data collection.
