List of Collected Substance Use Data and Sources

This resource provides primary data sources related to substance misuse, metrics in Beaufort County, and the data formats available. Local resources, such as the Trillium Opioid Response Manual, are also included. There are several data sources available, including NC DETECT emergency department visits for overdoses, death rates from the Department of Health and Human Services, Recovery Court data, alcohol sales through ABC Board, data from the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services on social determinants of health, and CDC data on social vulnerability.

This tool can be used to gain a complete picture of substance misuse issues in North Carolina and allows users to understand what metrics and data sources are commonly used in the field.
