US Diabetes Surveillance System

Users can visualize diabetes data through interactive maps and charts and identify health disparities among subgroups. Diabetes-related indicators are available on the website, including health outcomes and disability, risk factors for complications, diabetes medication use, preventive care practices, and cardiovascular disease complications. Age-adjusted and crude datasets can be found in the dashboard.

This data source can be used to identify populations at high risk for diabetes and advocate health equity among certain populations. Additionally, it provides a clear picture of the burden of diabetes and informs healthcare professionals and policymakers to develop more effective interventions or programs that tailor to the needs of the communities to prevent or manage diabetes.
