At the Trust
As a long-time Forsyth County resident, I partner with the community to improve quality of life by identifying gaps and dismantling systems that disproportionately impact marginalized groups. Through lived experience, I bring my authentic self to create a more inclusive economy, engaging grantees, stakeholders, and the community to allocate resources towards systems change.
I Work On
My Proudest Accomplishment
Since joining the Trust in May 2020, I am most proud of intentionally building the capacity of Forsyth County leaders. Partnering with Career Maven, I connected Black women nonprofit leaders to the B.Well Initiative, creating spaces to prioritize self-care and intentional work. Teaching my children, “Don’t be afraid to start over,” inspired me to leave a 15-year role—a scary yet rewarding professional reset.

When the Day is Done
I am mastering empty-nesting with my husband. These days that includes learning to bake, hosting friends for chicken and waffles, and face-timing three amazing adults who call me mom. When I’m not working, I spend quite a bit of time at church, cookingand finding intentional pauses. In the next year, I hope to spend more time focused on glimmers of joy.
