Dr. Laura Gerald has had a distinguished career. The 2022 North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics Commencement speaker, NCSSM Class of 1986 graduate, and President of the Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust has degrees from Harvard University, earned an MD from Johns Hopkins University, specializing in pediatrics, and among other roles has served as North Carolina’s State Health Director and the Director of the Division of Public Health.
