Metrics that Matter

The Metrics that Matter blog post details the Rural Opportunities Institute’s systems mapping progression in Edgecombe County, NC. The process aligns with the group’s resilience initiative, to decrease experiences of Adverse Childhood Experiences in community-based and collaborative effort. In addition to utilizing quantitative data, the process prioritized community accounts and perspectives of trauma and resilience and analyzed the connections between the systems and factors identified. The narrative follows the process and would be a great resource for others interested in completing the systems mapping process, or for data collectors to understand more context from the stakeholders in the community.

This blog post can be used as a guide for completing a systems mapping process in community settings.
