School Climate Walk, Revised
The School Climate Walk, Revised is an observational assessment tool on schools’ culture and climate, modified by Baltimore City Public Schools School Climate. Items for the observation are across several distinct school contexts: institutional environment, classroom teaching and learning, interpersonal relationships, transitions, etc. Notes from the Field: “We use the [Adapted] School Climate Walk, originally from Baltimore schools, but revised for our project. We’ve got even further revised formats we use for individual classrooms.”
This tool would be helpful as a starting point in measuring school climate and collecting baseline data to inform capacity building in schools.
