Columbus County Focus Group Collection Tool
The Columbus County Focus Group Collection Tool serves as a brief focus group guide to gain perspectives from stakeholders in Columbus County on the existing resources, supports needed, and specific areas for growth to better address substance use issues in the community.
Bladen County Opioid Task Force Meeting
This presentation outlines the strategic substance use plan with actionable recommendations in general and within particular sectors in Bladen County. These sectors include law enforcement, social services, child welfare, the school system, etc.
The North Carolina Disease Event Tracking and Epidemiologic Tool
This report is a surveillance system that presents opioid overdose ED visit data in North Carolina. It is updated approximately bi-monthly, and users can access the data reports at the state and county levels. Additionally, the ED visits data are stratified by opioid type, age, race and ethnicity, and health insurance coverage. The drug overdose death data are also available from the website.
County Commissioners Preliminary Prevalence Estimates
The County Commissioners Preliminary Prevalence Estimates handout provides prevalence estimates of substance use by age in Columbus County, NC in both 2020 and 2021. Examples of data visualization provide a detailed breakdown of substance use prevalence in Columbus County by age.
Healthy Communities NC Dashboard
The interactive Healthy Communities NC Data Dashboard brings together and visualizes indicator data related to the Healthy NC 2030 goals. Data are displayed at the county and census-tract levels, as well as by region (mountains, sandhills, Triangle, Charlotte-metro, etc.) and show relative rankings to compare one county to others across the state. Using this tool, you can see an overview of your county’s status and challenges, and compare them with other counties / communities in the state.
