The North Carolina Disease Event Tracking and Epidemiologic Tool
This report is a surveillance system that presents opioid overdose ED visit data in North Carolina. It is updated approximately bi-monthly, and users can access the data reports at the state and county levels. Additionally, the ED visits data are stratified by opioid type, age, race and ethnicity, and health insurance coverage. The drug overdose death data are also available from the website.
North Carolina Hospital Discharge Data Descriptive Statistics
This report provides county-level patient discharge statistics for inpatients, outpatients, and ED patients. The data are stratified by age and race and ethnicity. When applicable, the data can be accessed by hospital, facility, and payer. The data source also offers graphs and maps for users to explore and analyze the data visually.
Crime in North Carolina – Annual Summaries
This dataset contains information on crimes committed throughout the state each year. Data are broken down into specific offenses, including index crime, violent crime, and property crime. Data are organized by crime type, weapon used to commit the crime, and relationship between victim and offender.
Visual Tools for the Data Dashboard
The Visual Tools for the Data Dashboard is a summarized finding report with actionable recommendations on trauma and resilience in Edgecombe County, NC in 2021. This tool can be used to share a summary of dashboard responses.
The Roadmap for Racial Equity: An Imperative for Workforce Development Advocates
The Roadmap for Racial Equity recognizes the historical disparities in employment and income as well as the challenges faced by people of color with deep generational roots and immigrants in the United States. Moreover, the report illustrates how existing workforce development policies intentionally create systemic barriers to people of color and recommends policy solutions / interventions for both state and federal levels with specific actions to take to build an equitable employment system and diverse racial workforce in the U.S.
Roadmap of Need (2019)
The North Carolina Roadmap of Need (2019) is a county-level, child-focused needs assessment report. Counties in NC are ranked based on various wellness indicators in four domains: health, youth behavior and safety, education, and economic development. This report can be used to see an overview of child-focused indicators of wellbeing, compare across counties, and advocate for resources or change.
